In honour of Eating Disorders Awareness Week (February 1-7), in this training “Healthy Body Image & the Media” we will discuss the power of embracing a Healthy body image at Every Size® perspective and reshaping our own relationship with the complicated landscape and language of food and weight.

Jackie Grandy
Jackie Grandy is an Individual and Family Therapist who specializes in child and youth mental health, LGBTQ mental health, and disordered eating and food and weight preoccupation. Jackie has many years of experience with clinical social work and the field of eating disorders. She developed a national eating disorder outreach and education program for the National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC) at University Health Network and has spoken widely on the these disorders. In addition, Jackie co-facilitates a biweekly support group for LGBTQ people experiencing food and body image-related issues at the Sherbourne Health Centre and is pursuing continuing education certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE).
