Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) is a systems-based, trauma-informed crisis prevention and intervention model that assists organizations in preventing crises from occurring, de-escalating potential crises, managing acute crisis phases, reducing potential and actual injury to children/youth and staff and learning constructive ways to handle stressful situations.

This is a dual registration for pre-requisite TCI Direct Training and TCI: Train-the–trainer Associate Certificate. The TCI direct training is a mandatory prerequisite for Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI): Trainer Certificate (7th Edition) program scheduled for November 2026. 

Course Dates & Format 

1. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI): Pre-requisite Direct Training: September 23-25, 2026,  8:45 am – 5:00 pm ET
   This is a three-day training course, delivered in-person in the Greater Toronto Area.
2. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention® (TCI): Trainer Certificate (7th Edition) November 9-13,2026, 8:45 am – 5:00 pm ET
   This is a five-day training course, delivered in-person in the Greater Toronto Area.
